Turning off my card
So a minor glitch while we were in France was that Bank of America had noticed that I was taking money out of my account from France and turned off my account.
When I called and asked them what was going on they said, “You should inform us if you are going abroad”. How exactly was I supposed to know that I needed to do this. They say in their own commercials and those of Visa how it’s excepted all over the world. Its doesn’t say its excepted but first you have to call us and tell us where you are and what you want to buy.
How about a phone call or email from B of A telling me that they are noticing some activity on my card and they are shutting it down? Nope. Just like when they just cancelled my card without telling me last time.
They can have all sorts of computerized phone calls to tell me about some damn credit card offer that I don’t need but when it comes to something like this they are noticable silent.

Great article on Seth Godin’s blog about projects and designers. I can only wish that more people would take this advice to heart. It would save me so much time and heartache.
Working as a designer it is amazing what working for a client who understands these basic ideas can mean. You want to get great work out of designers and make them a happy part of your organization? This is a great starting point.

We are back. Almost. Kinda. I mean I think my body is back but my soul needs to catch up. We are waking up crazy early and running out of steam about 4pm. You can check out all sorts of pictures from France on Alanna’s Flikr site.
I did some song writing while I was over there but mostly I just went with the flow and did about as little as I possible could.
It feels so weird to be even typing.
I posted some new songs on the TBD site before I left so you can go and check those out as well.
Wow cutting and pasting URLs…. I remember this stuff…
