JUST THE FACTS: Don’t know if you caught this the other day. President Bush
was at a St. Louis trucking company to cheerlead for his $674 billion
“economic stimulus plan.”

Ensuring that the right message came across, the president’s people brought
along a specially prepared canvas screen that created the illusion of Bush
standing before boxes marked “Made in U.S.A.”

They also taped over the real boxes at the company that were stamped “Made
in China.” The subterfuge was discovered only when reporters peeled away the
tape and looked at what was really there.

Great article in Wired about what could be the demise of the major record
labels. I for one think they have it coming.
Long live rock n roll, long live the artist and the small label.

Rain, rain. rain…. I’m just a little sick of all the rain. Nothing left to

Great weekend around the house and around the bay. Alanna and I went ot malibu grand prix for fun on saturday. Then on sunday we hung around the house and I worked on this song with some help from Alanna. Now it’s time to hang out and watch “Army of Darkness”.

I cannot even begin to describe how great my new acoustic guitar is. I got a Taylor 414ce over the weekend as I have been coveting it for about a year and I have no words for what a difference it makes.

Upon hearing of the http://www.savekaryn.com website I wanted to retch. Here is a woman under 30 making 100k a year who suddenly finds that she is out of work after having spent most of what she had on an expensive apartment and $500 purses. So what does she do begs for money the internet way. Surprise surprise people actually gave her money…. For what? She has done nothing to deserve anything. Oh the sheer humanity of seeing a rich young white girl faced with having to declare bankruptcy has turned people away from the needy, the Homeless, the deformed, the sightless into giving money to a twentysomething New Yorker who cannot pay her credit card bill.

Contrast this with http://www.oddtodd.com/ . Here is a laid off person who is being creative while at the same time asking for money. He is not conditioning whether you get to see his creativity on whether you give him money he is distilling the spirit of being laid off after the boom into biting cartoon snippets about money, love, boredom and the magic of doing nothing. He didn’t make alot of money before he was laid off, he will probable not make alot of money after he is working again.
