Credit Card
I got my first credit card today. This is not to say that I have not had credit cards with my name on them in my wallet, its just that the bill never went to me and had my name attached to the credit history. So over the years I have had lots of ATM visa cards, and more recently a gas and Macy’s card but never a real credit card.
Now it may seem a little strange that I could have gone this long without a credit card but some how I have gotten by. A good by product of this is the fact that I have never lived beyong my means and have never had credit card debt. I am hoping that my American Express Green card will keep this in check as well.
To all the nice people who gave me credit cards under their names over the years I would like to say “Thank you”. This includes family members, girl friends and companies.
I plan on taking Alanna out to dinner to celebrate. She no longer has to loan me her credit card to buy computers and music equipment.

We watched “Betty Blue” the director’s cut over the weekend. From now on I will have to keep a close eye on the videos that I pick up to make sure that I do not ruin my memory of movies by getting the directos’s cut and thinking it will be the same as the original. The director’s cut of this movie sucks. It’s a whole different movie with all these bizarre scenes that just confuse the plot and prolong the movie.
The other movie that we got was Bubba Ho Tep. A Bruce Campbell horror-comedy that does not have enough of either to qualify as a recommended film.

We went to see the Old 97’s last night at The Fillmore. It was a great show and I think it even made it onto Alanna’s best ever list. Rhett Miller looked a little out of it for the first couple of songs but then the whole band settled in for a great show. I think they played just about everything.

I have been in a life and death struggle with my built in kitchen cabinet for about a year and a half now. Well maybe not life and death, more like pride and apathy. Shortly after repainting our kitchen some time in the mezozoic period I decided that instead of painting over 30years worth of paint that covered this cabinet that I would strip it and repaint it fresh. Just for future reference, Yes I am a moron.
What this turned into was a battle against my own retarded instinct. But it is done. Let us never speak of it again.

What’s the frequency George?
Was the president wired during the first debate?. Is that a microphone transmiter on your back or are you just glad to be here?[Salon Article]
