Record for Alanna
As a wedding gift to Alanna I decided last year that I would write and record an album just for her. I started last fall and finished with all the mastering and artwork just in time for the wedding. My plan was that everyone at the wedding would get a copy of the record.
Not to be out done, Alanna decided one weekend a few months before the wedding that she would write a cookbook with all the recipes that we enjoy so much and give that away to all the guests at the wedding as well. By the time I got up late that saturday she had already written like 20 pages of recipes just from memory. She had some help editing from friends and she got it done it time. In fact she even got her book before I got my printed CDs. She made such a wonderful book. I’m a lucky boy.

Our wedding over last weekend was great. Lots of worrying about details but everything went off so well. Alanna looked beautiful, the weather held up great, lots of fun people and the crew at San Benito House was calm and super helpful. I’m kinda of amazed we didn’t get through all the alcohol and food that we had but I think people always tend to over order on that stuff anyway.
Alanna has some pictures up here.
No commentsYahoo – Icahn
I started writing about the Yahoo!, Carl Icahn tug of war a while back but I just couldn’t keep up. It seemed like everyday there was some new twist or some new turn. I decided it was easier to wait until the dust settled, if it ever did, and see what happened.
So as of this writing, Yahoo! has had their shareholders meeting without much fanfare. Icahn has been appointed to the Yahoo! board along with 2 of his nominees. Microsoft is still mostly uninterested in trying its hand at being suitor and the Yahoo! shareholders have signaled that they are unhappy with the board but not enough to kick them all off. Seems like that was a long way to go just for everything to stay the same and get a couple of new board members?
I thought that there would be some sort of shake up or new direction. Guess I was wrong about that one. The silicon valley is so weird.
